Research Security Training is the foundational component of an effective Research Security program pursuant to NSPM-33 and CHIPS + Science Act (2022) requirements. In parallel with export control training, the focus of Research Security Training is to empower institutional personnel to identify and mitigate research security risks.
FIU has created and updated FIU-specific training modules that address overall Research Security protections as well as federal research award reporting obligations. FIU-specific Export Control training is also available, as well as access to the NSF-based Research Security training in CITI.
